- Rachel Gandy is the J.J. Pearce High School valedictorian, and the salutatorian is Sonya Yun.
Fahmida Musharof is the Richardson valedictorian, and the salutatorian is Christopher Nguyen. - The J.J. Pearce Pacesetters officer lineup for 2009-2010 will be Hannah McGary as captain, Jennifer Montgomery as first lieutenant, Ashley Williams as first lieutenant, Carly Marston as junior lieutenant, and Mallory Shelton as junior lieutenant.
- J.J. Pearce tennis teammates Jonny Kelley and Hannah Kelley have won the 4A State Tennis Championship for mixed doubles. Kyle Plum and Tam Trinh have won the 4A State Tennis Championship for men’s doubles. The coaches this year are Jim Morrison and Sammi Gunter.
- The Richardson Robotics Team has won the National High School Championship for “Battle Bots”, a combat robot TV show. The team also won a first place award for the Best Engineered Robot in the national competition.
- Richardson High School culinary students Michelle Dykes and Halima Tasiu were awarded scholarships by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association. Dykes was awarded a $5,000 association founders club scholarship, sponsored by Ben E. Keith Co., and a $1,000 food service prep scholarship. She plans to attend Culinary Institute of America in the fall. Halima was awarded a $5,000 association founders club scholarship, sponsored by Nationwide Insurance. She will be attending Johnson and Wales or the Culinary Institute of America in the fall.
- The J.J. Pearce men’s golf team has won the 4A State Golf Championship. Teammates include Hunter Brown, Cade Story, Brad Lyle, Charlie Gibson, Connor Ligon, Matt Berryman and Taylor Anderson. Jeremy O’Quinn is the coach.
