“Topeka”, the short film shot this summer at the Gold Rush Cafe, was included in the NYC Downtown Short Film Festival audience choice screenings, and was selected for inclusion the sixth annual festival in April. Writer/director Eric Steele of East Dallas has more big news: “We just found out we’ve been accepted to one of the premier festivals in the U.S.,” he says. “We officially announce it in January, but I can barely contain the excitement.”
