Advocate video: Dallas Tweed Ride

Dallasites love a reason to dress up. And they represented Sunday at Bike Friendly Oak Cliff's inaugural Dallas Tweed Ride. There were so many cute, creative and funny costumes. The only surprising thing? We did not see one Chanel jacket. Where you at, Highland Park? Enjoy the video.

  • Was great fun! Thanks BFOC for throwing it together! You'd be surprised how many people bought much of their stuff at Target. Ahab Bowen had great hats as well.

  • I really enjoyed the search for something to wear, the ride, seeing all the bikes and helping to bring a lot of smiles to people as we passed by. Thanks to BFOC for sponsoring this event. I can't wait until the next ride.

  • Is this a "critical mass" type of a ride?

I only ask because I noticed everyone was riding more than two abreast and in multiple lanes.

It also appeared that the cars on the bridge seemed to have a hard time passing as the riders were all over the road.
What happened to maintaining your lane and holding a line?

Also, where is everyones helmets? The City of Dallas has a helmet ordinance last I checked.

Otherwise, looked like a fun ride.

    Classy duds, too. ;)
