Group photo planned at Adamson, Oak Cliff Christian Church Sunday

Did you meet your sweetie at Adamson High School or the Oak Cliff Christian Church? If so, get ready for your close up because the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League wants to take your picture.

The league is getting a group photo to submit to the National Trust for Historic Preservation photo project called "This Place Matters." Anyone who cares about preserving the old buildings can show up for the group photo at Adamson at 2 p.m. Sunday. A photo at the church will follow.

The league also wants to do some Valentine's Day pictures featuring couples who met at Adamson or the church. The photo will take place rain or shine, and it's expected to take about 30 minutes.

  • After almost 8 long years at an elementary I spotted the one I wanted to know at Adamson in my home room class our freshman year. After that it was racing to her next class to request to carry her books. We were friends many years and dated then at 25 years old we married, at the local JP at Jefferson & Beckley. Unfortunately Barbara passed away February 7th 2008.
