Adamson alumni want to save high school building

WFAA Channel 8 has this story about the efforts on the part of Adamson High School alumni to keep the building from being bulldozed. Dallas ISD wants to spend $48 to rebuild the school as a modern campus, stating that the building's foundation has shifted, but alumni like Glenn Straus and John Ruiz believe it's "an architectural gem" that should be fixed and updated for today's students.

Preservation Dallas is supporting the alumni association's efforts, and the association is trying to obtain grant funds to conduct its own building foundation study. The WFAA story includes the full statement from DISD concerning the school.
