“Where there is cake, there is love.” It’s a philosophy showcased on the wall at La Duni, and what owner Dunia Borga has come to learn after many years of baking. “You get cake orders for birthdays, weddings, even wakes — always times when people who love each other are gathered together.” And this month La Duni is celebrating love with heart-shaped cookies that say “I love you” in three of the romance languages: Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Borga also has unveiled a Valentine’s line of cupcakes and boxed truffle sets, which you can purchase with freshly-cut roses being sold at La Duni for one-stop Valentine’s Day shopping.
